After 7 long years, Gorillaz released four songs from their upcoming album “Humanz” (Release 4/28/17, get hype). My personal favorite is Andromeda, its grooving bassline and punchy synths bringing a new element to Gorillaz’s traditional vibe. While Andromeda’s music video is nowhere near as immersive as “Saturnz Barnz”, it’s still beautiful, fitting the song very well, the ever-shifting pattern and color of the planet lighting up the surrounding desolate asteroid field. I’m very excited to see what the rest of the album brings on its release, and hopefully more albums from the Gorillaz too!
