The lyrics are simple - they’re a list. People from Amelia Meath’s high school have evidently all been invited to a huge beach party and Meath is standing right in the middle, spinning around and observing all her muses. Meath’s lyrics couple with Nick Sanborn’s bubbly synths and sway-able snares to create something that sounds a bit like how cheap homemade martinis on the beach would taste. Amelia Meath’s characters are loud, free, golden idols spitting water in the moonlight. However, the layer of captivating glitter spread over all of these names becomes a bit more playful when you realize she’s singing about 16-year-olds partying in their parents’ basements.
