UV boi first emerged in the electronic music scene as a young 17 year old back in 2014 through the Soundcloud community. Thoroughly experimental and self-made, he describes his work as "mellow yet heavy hitting 808 music." In 2016, UV boi released L-UV, which included "Running Out of Time Pt II" as the seventh track of the album.
"Running Out of Time Pt II" is an energizing masterpiece, deprived of all lyrical components except for three reverberating words in the beginning and the end of the track, allowing the listener to fully engage with the cleverly mixed electronic components throughout the rest of the audio. In this track, UV boi incorporates the hard hitting beats of trap along with rhythmic hip hop influences, yet adds his own element of intensity that's highlighted with the sounds and sampling of ticking clocks.
From the intensified build ups to the downtempo releases, "Running Out of Time Pt II" is certainly an adventurous track. Deep, downtempo electronic music seems to be what UV boi does best, and "Running Out of Time Pt II" is definitely my favorite of his.
