Darkwave, chill trap, hypnotic ambiance...witch house? Øfdream's raw sounding mixes will take you to another world. His tracks are a little creepy, a little futuristic, yet somehow really catchy and addicting. These are songs that are easy to get lost in.
Øfdream's sound is a lot like Hippie Sabotage's 2014 Vacants album. The hard hitting beats and layered synths give it a trap feel while the sampled vocals provide a mellow atmospheric sound. Øfdream is perfect to listen to when you're looking for something downtempo to vibe with.
This independent French artist is the epitome of underground. There is not a single biography, interview, or anything on Øfdream's history as an artist posted to the public- only previous tracks and mixes are available to tell the story. He refrains from revealing his real name as well. You bet you won't be finding his music posted on iTunes or Spotify either. However, you can catch more of what the artist is like through his thoughts on twitter and on tumblr. Previously, he was signed to a small label called Wavemob. He is now collaborating with two other French artists on a project called 1/3 Quarter Museum. Hopefully we can expect new music soon.
